The Cedar Way PTO hosts events, funds field trips and assemblies, produces the school musical, and coordinates after school enrichment activities that help students explore, create, and build important skills.

Community-Building Events

The Cedar Way PTO hosts many events each year that bring us together for fun and community-building. These include:

Field Trips and Assemblies

By funding field trips and school assemblies, the PTO enriches the Cedar Way  education, complementing classroom learning with unforgettable experiences.

School Musical

Planning for the Spring 2020 musical, 101 Dalmations Kids, is underway. Join the mailing list for updates and/or volunteer to be a rehearsal parent volunteer by emailing CWEmusicalCommittee@gmail.com. Pay for performers in grtades K-2 here.  Pay for performers grades 3-6 here. Auditions for 3rd-6th graders wishing to have a speaking role will be held February 21st at 3:30pm in the Eagle’s Nest. Registration must be complete in order to audition.

After-School Activities

The Cedar Way PTO coordinates and provides financial assistance for after school enrichment activities that help students explore, create, and build important skills. In past years, these have included

  • Bricks 4 Kidz

  • Foreign Language for Youth: Spanish 

  • Smart With Art

Bricks 4 Kidz 

This is is a hands-on class for grades K-6 using LEGO bricks to design and build educational models, including motorized machines! It helps develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, explore math and science through hands-on projects, and encourage creativity and self-confidence. The next session is Life Science and is Wednesdays from 3:15- 4:15 in the Cedar Way Library on 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26 and 3/4. Foreign Language For Youth

Foreign Language for Youth (FLY) teaches a Spanish curriculum that exposes students to over 1,000 vocabulary words and 70 dialogue segments in the first year. Their uniquely tailored advanced curriculum challenge returning students in reading, writing, speaking, and drama. FLY will take place on Mondays, from 3:15-4:15, starting October 14th.
